Our client, Liliana Slater recently had a touching moment at Mornington Green, where she honoured her beloved dog, Nina, by infusing her ashes into the tree that she has pre-planted. Her other dog, who had been missing Nina dearly, found comfort in the ceremony and even took a sweet drink from the watering can as Liliana watered the tree. 🌳❤️
At Mornington Green, we understand that our pets are family, too, and the trees that we pre-plant for ourselves and our family can be shared with pets as well, creating a beautiful place of remembrance for our furry loved ones, knowing that one day, we will be together with them again.
Creating connections that last, even beyond the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Merle Button shares her heartfelt experience at Mornington Green Legacy Gardens:
“My family stumbled across Mornington Green Legacy Gardens … so happy we did. We organized to go and have a look. From our first meeting with Rebecca, we knew this was what we were looking for. A magical place to come and visit our family. Toughest thing was picking which tree we wanted and in which spot. More than happy with what we finally chose. Planting our tree with Louise to finally laying our family member to rest. Louise conducted our service for us. Thankfully they don’t mind if you rock up with 5 dogs as part of the service. We had a lovely morning tea which made our day beautiful. As we left, we had to have a head count to make sure none of the staff had taken our dogs for cuddles 😀 Do yourself a favour, go and have a look. Mornington Green Legacy Gardens is beautiful.”
Thank you, Merle, for sharing your wonderful journey with us. We’re honoured to provide a place where cherished memories thrive amidst nature’s beauty. 💚🐾

“The whole concept is amazing! We even helped plant our tree. It was a fantastic experience for my kids and even my grandkids! I would highly recommend.” – Alan Kent, (Japanese Maple)
“Mornington Green is more than just a lovely place to walk around and enjoy the stunning, picturesque surroundings. Walking to the trees of your loved one is a positive experience and something we look forward to every time. It’s nothing at all like that of visiting a cemetery. There is so much joy in watching not only our trees grow, but the entire grounds evolving. It feels like a positive and personal experience visiting our trees on special occasions. We bring a picnic rug, play games on the grounds, feed the ducks and have a coffee. My granddaughter loves to water ‘Uncle Dan’s Tree’ which creates such a positive connection and helps his memory live on. It truly feels like a family occasion and we always look forward to coming. There is a sense of peace knowing that our entire family are together in those moments. The team at MG have always been helpful, accommodating, and very caring. They feel like a part of our extended family and always welcome us and have a chat when we visit.” – Katherine Hayler (Gingko)

Wendy and Albert Kron made the decision to prearrange the planting of their very own Flowering Gum Tree.
Albert expressed, “Honoring a departed loved one can be a challenging and emotional endeavor. For individuals who desire to be remembered in non-traditional ways, like my partner, instead of opting for a conventional funeral and burial in a cemetery, Mornington Green was there to offer choices, support, and sincere compassion in assisting us with this pursuit. The gardens serve as a serene location where one can find solace and commemorate the memory of those we hold dear, when the inevitable sorrowful time arrives. Throughout the entire process, there was understanding, respect, and discretion. There exist methods to celebrate the lives of our lost loved ones that embody revitalization and the warmth of the sun caressing green foliage rather than stone’s cold touch.”
We cordially invite you to attend our upcoming Open days at Mornington Green in Melbourne, Victoria, or feel free to contact us to schedule a tour of the protected gardens.
