I am fighting a nasty lung cancer, and am trying to get the future sorted. The thought of being incorporated into a tree, and maybe still being useful in 40 years appealed to me, so I did a tour of the Memorial Green. First off, Mark was delightful to sit with for a while, and go through all the facts of the The Memorial Green, and how it works. At the end of this presentation i was already pretty much sold on the idea, but felt I should go away and give it due consideration, and then we were put in a shuttle and given a full tour of the site. It’s a young place yet, but it’s already so easy to visualise what it will look like in 10 years, and that is amazing. At the last of the tree groups I found my tree, and It i reserved for me, and It has a reserved plaque on it stating “I want a Treesomme”, which suits my sense of humour perfectly. I cannot begin to describe the sense of peace and joy that I experienced in that wonderful environment, nicest happy feeling ever. And it affected my sisters in the same way too, and they are looking at buy their own trees too.
